Couples | Relationship Therapy

What the problems in a relationship may look like

There are a number of issues that can lead a couple to seek therapy.

Miscommunication, leading to conflict and feelings of isolation within the relationship, can result in disconnect and emotional pain. Happy memories may seem a distant past and the things that once attracted us to our partner may now be a source of irritation. Other times, arguments have become the norm that are literally removing the joy out of everyday life. This may lead to lack of intimacy, or imbalance of sexual desire.

Extended family issues can also affect the day to day life of a couple and add a lot of stress, as can work demands and a very busy family life.

Who is relationship therapy for?

Relationship therapy is for everyone in any kind of relationship. You may be married, or not, in a long-term relationship, or a budding one. Couples may be living together, or may have a long-distance relationship.

Do you only see heterosexual couples?

I help couples that are heterosexual, or define themselves in any of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Is relationship therapy only for couples?

Relationship therapy is suitable for all forms of relationships. This may, as an example, include mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, siblings and any other form of relating.
